Advertise on OneVia

Pay only when your ad is actually seen.

Put an image and a link in front of people reading real conversations. You top up a balance, we show your ad in the feed, and you're charged 1p for each view that really happens. No contracts, no minimum spend beyond £5, and no tracking of the people who see it.

OneVia is in beta, so the audience is still small and growing. You are only charged for views that happen.

How it works

Live in four steps.

01

Create an account

Sign up as an advertiser with your company or organisation name and an email address. It is completely separate from a personal OneVia account.

02

Top up your balance

Add at least £5 by card. Your balance is what pays for views, so you stay in control of what you spend.

03

Upload your ad

Add one image and the link it should go to. A person on our team reviews it before it goes live.

04

Go live

Your ad starts appearing in the feed. Each real view is taken from your balance, and you can watch it all on your dashboard.

Pricing

1p a view. That's it.

Your ad is only charged once it has been properly seen: at least half of it on screen for at least one continuous second, the industry-standard definition of a viewable impression. Ads that load but are never scrolled to cost nothing.

Prepaid, so no surprises

You top up your balance (minimum £5) and each view is deducted from it. When it reaches zero your ad simply stops showing. You can never be billed more than you've put in.

What your money buys

£5 buys 500 views. £100 buys 10,000. Any balance you don't use stays on your account for next time and doesn't expire.

Paid securely by card

Payments are handled by Stripe, so you can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your card details. A balance is capped at £100 at any one time; established advertisers can ask us to raise that.

Top-ups are final. We don't offer refunds on advertising balance, spent or unspent, except where the law requires it. That's why we'd rather you top up little and often. The full terms are in section 12 of our Terms of Use.

Your ad

One image, one link.

Your ad appears in the feed as a clean card, clearly labelled Sponsored, looking much like a post but with just your image and nowhere else to go but your link.

What to upload

  • A single JPEG image (.jpg), at least 1200 pixels wide. Taller is fine; we don't crop it.
  • One destination link (http or https). We check every link against Google's list of unsafe sites, and again whenever you change it.
  • Images only, with no text we add and no like, reply or share buttons: just your picture and your link.
  • Shown labelled "Sponsored" in the same card style as a post.

Reviewed by a person first

Every ad is checked by a member of our team before it goes live, and we may reject it or remove it later if it turns out to be misleading, unlawful, unsafe, or to infringe someone's rights. We don't have to give a reason for a rejection, but we'll usually tell you.

Advertiser accounts must be protected with two-factor authentication (an authenticator app), which you set up the first time you sign in. Your ad must be lawful, honest and not misleading, and you must own or have the right to use the image and whatever it links to. You must also be 18 or over and able to enter into a binding contract.

Placement

You choose how often.

Ads are mixed into the main feed, roughly one for every 10 posts. A single dial on your dashboard, from 1 to 10, sets how big a share of those slots your ad gets compared with other advertisers. Turning it up makes your ad appear more often. It never changes the price per view.

See what you get

Your dashboard shows how many views your ad has had and how much of your balance is left, so you always know what you've spent.

No tracking

Ads on the OneVia platform don't use cookies, tracking or anything we know about the person reading. Which ad appears depends on what advertisers have bought, not on who you are. You only ever see a count of views, never who viewed.

No guarantees, no games

We can't promise a number of views, a level of engagement or a particular position. Topping up buys the opportunity to be shown under our normal rules, and you only pay for the views that actually happen.

Questions

Good to know.

Do you target ads at particular people?

No. Platform ads are not personalised and use no cookies or tracking. Which ad is shown depends on what advertisers have bought, not on who is reading.

Can I get my money back?

Top-ups are final and non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise. An unused balance never expires and stays on your account. See section 12 of our Terms of Use.

How many people will see my ad?

We can't promise a number. OneVia is in beta and the audience is still growing, so you only pay for views that actually happen, and your dashboard shows exactly how many that is.

Why was my ad rejected?

Every ad is reviewed by a person. We reject or remove ads that are misleading, unlawful, unsafe or infringe someone's rights. Email us if you'd like to talk it through.

Can I have a higher balance than £100?

Balances are capped at £100 at any one time. Established advertisers can ask us to raise the limit for their account.

Is the site you are advertising on safe?

OneVia has a one-rule community standard and a reporting and complaints process. Read our Community Guidelines and Safety & Complaints page.

Ready when you are

Set up in minutes. Pay only for views.

An advertiser account is separate from a personal OneVia account, so you don't need to be a member to advertise.
