Argue the point. Never attack the person.
OneVia exists for real debate. Say the harshest, most controversial thing you believe, and defend it — we protect that. There's only one rule, and it's simple.
Fair game
- Calling an argument wrong, weak, or badly reasoned
- Mocking an idea, a policy, or a public figure's public actions
- Blunt, rude, or deliberately provocative opinions
- Views that are controversial, unpopular, or offensive to some
Not allowed
- Insults, slurs, or name-calling aimed at a person
- Threats of any kind, physical or otherwise
- Harassment, stalking, or pile-ons targeting an individual
- Sharing someone's private information without consent ("doxxing")
- Using a poll's question or options, or the
/askfeature, to target or falsely accuse a specific person
First offense
Post removed and a formal warning on record. No public shaming — but it's logged, and it counts.
Second offense
7-day suspension. No posting, no commenting, no exceptions — a real pause to reconsider how you argue.
Third offense
Permanent ban. No appeal. Personal attacks are the one thing OneVia will not negotiate on.
How this is enforced: before publication, AI checks every post for one thing only — is it attacking a person? It doesn't judge whether you're right, wrong, or offensive. Anything reported for other reasons is reviewed personally by us — there's no panel of user moderators. The same rule applies to polls and to the /ask feature: it's built to answer checkable questions of fact and stay out of opinions, not to take sides or be turned into a way of attacking someone. This applies equally to everyone, including verified accounts and the OneVia team. See our Terms of Use for the full enforcement policy.
